My lesson program is designed to focus on what's needed to learn to play, properly and as quickly as possible. I try not to waste time with material that doesn't accomplish this goal. Guitar and bass lessons work best as weekly, one-on-one sessions with your instructor. This is far better than a group class, because you can learn faster with lessons focused just on you.
Our weekly lesson will be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour each session - depending on the package option you select at sign-up.
If your schedule won't accommodate weekly, I'm open to talking about it but normally a reoccurring weekly session is the best way to schedule and learn.
To really learn guitar properly, there is nothing quite like one-on-one lessons with a good instructor. Group classes rarely advance beyond simple chord playing, and are designed to teach a large number of people the very basics of guitar. Students can learn more in 1-2 months of private instruction than in a 6 month group class. This is the proven best approach with the fastest results. So get in touch today!
We normally meet at my studio location, or online via Zoom.
In rare cases I may be able to come to your home.

Beginner sessions are perfect for first-time musicians. Students will learn the basics of the guitar and musical fundamentals. Topics covered are chords, scales, TAB, simple songs, rhythm, and introduction to note reading.
Intermediate guitar lessons build off skills acquired as a beginner.
Songs and skills get more advanced, and more fulfilling. Students will continue working with their instrument and optionally reading music but we'll also cover lots of other things like improvisation, longer songs, using backing tracks, solos, and more ...as you perfect your playing!
Advanced lessons are for students playing consistently for over 2-3 years. Instructors provide guidance where needed, but students can provide input on the direction they'd like to focus on. Perfecting songs beginning to end, soloing and advanced improvisation, and mastering music theory, are just some of the things we cover.
